Beyond The Bias and Wapping In The Community teamed up, to provide an amazing new club - Kids Who Code.
We all want our children to become excellent problem solvers so that they can overcome any adversity they face. Learning to code gave the children the chance to learn this type of skill to it help them throughout their life journey.
The Kids Who Code project provided children aged 7-12; the opportunity to utilise their creative and thinking skills by creating coding applications. This club was received amazingly by both the kids and their parents, with one parent saying: "because of the project, my kids are now going home and doing research of their own to produce their own coding application".
The children have learnt how to create their own games, web design where they create their own web page, and much more about coding.
This project has been one of our biggest successes so far and we loved seeing our younger generation enjoying themselves while learning a new skill at the same time.
At the end of the course all the kids who attended got to keep the coding equipment (Raspberry Pi 400) that was used throughout the course, so that they can continue to learn, explore, and practice every day!. We hope we delivered exceptional coding experiences for everyone invovled.
